If you're a private landlord with tenants, the Powys Home Grant can help fund energy efficiency improvements in their homes, so they can save money on their bills and reduce carbon emissions.

Eligibility for the grant is dependent on the property. If you're a homeowner, it's likely that your property will need to be at least 30 years old and meet certain criteria (such as having a fuel poverty rating of 40% or more). Your tenants' eligibility is based on their household income and whether they are responsible for paying the rent.

  • Renewable energy installations Powys Grants—You can receive up to 50% towards the costs of installing solar panels or heat pumps if they supply more than 50% of your total heat demand in any heating season (October-March). The maximum grant available is £5k per property.

  • Central heating systems Powys Grants – If your home lacks adequate central heating and hot water supply then we may be able to help with funding towards installing these items at no cost!
